Benefits of Corporate Membership

Benefits of Corporate Membership

ACBSP accreditation legitimizes our program and department. We get recognition from our administrators and others around the college. In fact, we have faculty members outside of the department asking about our assessment methods for their own programs.”

— Olin Oedekoven, President/CEO of Peregrine Academic Services | 3.23.2017

Listing as a Corporate Member

The listing of corporate members on acbsp.org, includes a link to your website. The member-only portal on acbsp.org includes a corporate profile with contact information for each of the 10 individuals designated as members, which is available upon login.

Annual Conference

Corporate members participate in the ACBSP Annual Conference as an exhibitor, sponsor, or attendee and are provided the member discount. Information about past, current, and future conferences is available on the website by clicking on the “Events” tab. Sponsors and exhitors are featured in print promotion and through social media.

Advertising

Corporate members may announce new products, promote current products, or make important announcements by advertising in Business Education Week, or by sponsoring an entire issue of ACBSP Update, our quarterly e-newsletter. Please contact ACBSP for examples of previous issues with corporate member advertising and sponsor support.

Mailing Labels

Mailing labels are available for mailing to any targeted group of ACBSP individual members or to all members. As of January 2015, the number of individuals in our database exceeded 11,000 — at 1,297 member campuses. When the educational institution joins, individual member benefits are extended to the president, chief academic officer, head of the business unit, and faculty. Think of the possibilities!

Targeted Emails to Membership

Twice each year, your message about new products or services can be sent to the entire membership or to a selected number of members. These are sent from the ACBSP office with messages and content you design.

Business Education Week

This e-newsletter is sent most Fridays (excluding holidays and our every-other-week summer schedule, July 4-Labor Day). It is more of a week-in-review, providing links to popular articles in the business education/accreditation space. I include 1-2 announcements/reminders from the home office that are usually conference related or reminding our members of an upcoming deadline to apply for an award or respond to a call for presentations. I also include a "Members in the News" link to an article that pops up in my Google or TrendKite Alert about our educational or corporate members. If you send out a press release via wire or show up in any media outlet, please send me a link to either (or both) and I will add it to our “Members in the News” section of the website and in an upcoming Business Education Week email.

As a corporate member, you receive one complimentary sponsorship of Business Education Week. In that issue, we will include a message that reads: This issue sponsored by: (with your logo). You would also be able to include a complimentary ad for that week — either a horizontal banner ad that would run across the bottom of the email template (600 x 200 px) or a box ad that would run in the right rail (164 x 200 px).

Additional ads are available for purchase. Prices are listed in the attached rate sheet.

ACBSP Impact Magazine

This quarterly e-zine is sent to members the last week of January, April, July and October. We are always happy to include an ad for you. Various size options and pricing are included in the rate sheet. Ads should be 4-color and saved as a press quality PDF w/crop marks.

Deadlines for ads and articles:

  • Winter Issue: January 4th
  • Spring Issue: April 6th
  • Summer Issue: July 8th
  • Fall Issue: October 4th

This publication is best if you want to include an article, rather than in Business Education Week, which is more curated content. We include a “Corporate Member Spotlight” that outlines what you do, any product or service you want to highlight, a product photo and logo and a sentence at the end that says how long you’ve been a corporate member. That is always kept to one 8.5” x 11” page.

You’re also welcome to submit an article to ACBSP Impact magazine. It needs to address a need or answer a question that our audience might have, without being too “salesy.” That needs to take up no more than two pages, including any images you have. Include a byline so we can give proper credit and a sentence at the end can include a contact name and your web address for more information. I can’t run an article in every issue. With only four issues a year and multiple corporate members, I can accept one article per year. You can pick the issue that best suits your needs though and I will try my best to accommodate your request.

ACBSP Impact Blog

You can also submit an article to our ACBSP Impact blog. If you submit three or more articles, you can become a regular contributor. Again, these articles are meant to help our members address the challenges they face in delivering quality business education, developing relevant curriculum that prepares their students for a competitive job market, and measures student learning outcomes effectively. You can submit these articles directly to me. I will approve and post for you, unless you want to become a regular contributor. In that case, you could post the article and it would come to me for approval.

ACBSP Resource Library

This is an area of our website that includes resources that are searchable by industry for our members, so if you have any tip sheets, infographics, lists, or e-books that might be of value to our members, please send a PDF that we can include to mdorning@acbsp.org.

Social Media

ACBSP will re-tweet/share posts from our corporate members and ask that you please do the same with posts from ACBSP. ACBSP is on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.

Regional Meetings

Notices of regional meetings are sent to individual corporate members. Each region meets during the fall and at the ACBSP Annual Conference. Representatives from your company may attend these meetings and consider exhibit and sponsor opportunities.

ACBSP Website

The branded website of ACBSP (acbsp.org) features a login process for individual members you designate to access a wide variety of services, including access to Member Profiles and past conference presentations.

Membership Directory

The Directory contains information about our member institutions, corporate members, and individuals at any of our member institutions. Each member campus has a profile in the Directory. There are currently more than 1,290 member campuses and more than 11,000 individuals. You have the ability to SEARCH the Directory to find the person you are seeking or go to the campus profile for this information.

Listing on Vita

Individuals may list on their vita or biographical information “Member, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs."" Companies may include this in printed literature or on their website.

Join an ACBSP Committee

There are committees within ACBSP that include appointment of members. A slot is available on each committee for a corporate member to join. You have a voice in creating policy, implementing projects, and enjoying the networking benefits of committee membership.

Scholarly Journal

ACBSP publishes a peer-reviewed journal, the Transnational Journal of Business. Contributions can be submitted as white papers, case studies, teaching techniques, assessment techniques, etc. We invite your submittal or that of others within your company, A Call for Papers is available on acbsp.org.

Corporate Member Logo

ACBSP has a corporate member logo, available to help promote our partnership.

Seminar Series

As ACBSP plans seminar opportunities, corporate members may be granted an exhibit booth with time set aside for one-on-one meetings and logo display. The sponsorship cost is $600 per seminar for corporate members.

Corporate Member Visit

A lot is offered through ACBSP membership and it can be overwhelming. ACBSP offers to send a member of the ACBSP staff to your headquarters or other location to meet with decision makers and sales representatives. This can be a review of various products and services you offer and your current marketing plan to determine how corporate membership can be used as a part of the plan. ACBSP staff will also review ways in which you access the member directory and other resources on acbsp.org.
