OVERLAND PARK, KS, USA (May 19, 2017) The 2017 Enactus U.S. National Exposition takes place next week in Kansas City, Mo., bringing together the top students and business leaders from around the country. Jeffery Alderman, President/CEO of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) www.acbsp.org is among the more than 300 global business leaders asked to judge the opening round competition on Monday.
There are 106 Enactus teams representing more than 2,000 students participating in the 2017 Enactus U.S. National Exposition, taking place May 21-23 at the Kansas City Convention Center. This event provides a platform for Enactus teams to share the details of their social enterprise projects with a panel of leading business executives, while also giving them the opportunity to collaborate with university teams from across the country.
After three days of activities progressing through the opening, quarter-final, semi-final and final rounds of competitions, one team will be named the Enactus United States National Champion. The team that is named U.S. National Champion will compete against teams from across 36 countries in the Enactus World Cup in London, England on September 26-28, 2017.
“It was my honor to judge this competition and see firsthand the innovative projects these student entrepreneurs have developed,” said Alderman. “Many ACBSP accredited colleges and universities have Enactus teams competing in this Exposition. It is rewarding to see how quality business education translates to skill sets that these students can use outside the classroom,” he said.
