ACBSP Grants Accreditation to 23 Colleges and Universities in Six Countries

OVERLAND PARK, KS, USA (January 5, 2016) The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), www.acbsp.org, has granted initial accreditation or reaffirmation of accreditation to 23 colleges and universities in six countries.

 

The ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners and Associate Degree Board of Commissioners meet twice a year in Kansas City, MO, USA, to review the quality and integrity of business degree programs at colleges and universities seeking ACBSP accreditation. 

 

In November, the two Boards granted initial accreditation to the business programs at:

Bethel University (St. Paul, Minnesota, USA)

• Central State University (Wilberforce, Ohio, USA)

• Coppin State University (Baltimore, Maryland, USA)

• Dixie State University (St. George, Utah, USA)

• Hoa Sen University (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)

Houston Community College (Houston, Texas, USA)    

Inter American University of Puerto Rico, Bayamon campus (Bayamon, Puerto Rico)

• Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management (Karnataka, India)                               

National Institute of Management and Administration (NIMA) (Kabul, Afghanistan)

North South University (Bashundhara, Bangladesh)

• St. Gregory’s University (Shawnee and Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA)

 

Colleges and universities initially accredited by ACBSP must undergo a process of reaffirmation every 10 years in order to maintain accredited status. In November, the two Boards granted reaffirmation of accreditation to:

Butler Community College (El Dorado, Kansas, USA)

Cedarville University (Cedarville, Ohio, USA)

• Edgewood College (Madison, Wisconsin, USA)

• Methodist University (Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA)

• Millersville University of Pennsylvania (Millersville, Pennsylvania, USA)

• Mount Vernon Nazarene University (Mount Vernon, Ohio, USA)

• Oklahoma Baptist University (Shawnee, Oklahoma, USA)

• St. Ambrose University (Davenport, Iowa, USA)

• SUNY Orange County Community College (Middletown and Newburgh, New York, USA)

• Wallace State Community College (Hanceville, Alabama, USA)

• Walters State Community College (Morristown, Tennessee, USA)

West Virginia State University (Institute, West Virginia, USA)

 

"These campuses have shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process. The initial accreditation and reaffirmation of accreditation granted to these institutions demonstrates their commitment to provide the highest quality business education for their students," said Dr. Steve Parscale, ACBSP director of accreditation.

 

ACBSP accredits business programs at all degree levels, from associate degrees in accounting and other business disciplines to doctoral degrees in management.
