ACBSP Grants Accreditation to 27 Colleges and Universities in Four Countries

OVERLAND PARK, KS, USA (January 13, 2015) The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP),, has granted initial accreditation or reaffirmation of accreditation to 27 colleges and universities in four countries.

The ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners and Associate Degree Board of Commissioners meet twice a year in Kansas City, MO, USA, to review the quality and integrity of business degree programs at colleges and universities seeking ACBSP accreditation. 


In November, the two Boards granted initial accreditation to the business programs at:

• Business School Netherlands (Buren, Netherlands)                                        

• Capella University (Minneapolis, Minnesota)                                                     

Grove City College (Grove City, Pennsylvania, USA)

• Ider Institute (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia)

• Keiser University (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA)             

• Lake Superior State University (Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, USA)

• Lasell College (Newton, Massachusetts, USA)

MidAmerica Nazarene University (Olathe, Kansas, USA)

• Mongolia State University of Agriculture, School of Business & Economics

   (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia)                                               

• NorthWest Arkansas Community College (Bentonville, Arkansas, USA)              

• Northwood University (Midland, Michigan, USA)                                               

• Owensboro Community & Technical College (Owensboro, Kentucky, USA)                         

• Saint Leo University (Saint Leo, Florida, and multiple campuses in the USA)

• Seruuleg Institute (Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia)                     

Škoda Auto University (Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic)

• Southeastern University (Lakeland, Florida, USA)

• Westminster College (Fulton, Missouri, USA)


In November, the Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners granted separate accounting accreditation to the programs at:

• Southeastern University (Lakeland, Florida, USA)

Southeastern University joins nine other schools that hold this distinction. LaGrange College (GA) was the first to achieve separate accounting accreditation from ACBSP in 2010.


Colleges and universities initially accredited by ACBSP must undergo a process of reaffirmation every 10 years in order to maintain accredited status. In November, the two Boards granted reaffirmation of accreditation to:

Bronx Community College — CUNY (Bronx, New York, USA)

• Community College of Rhode Island (Warwick, Rhode Island, USA)

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach, Florida, USA)

Freed-Hardeman University (Henderson, Tennessee, USA)

Jones County Junior College (Ellisville, Mississippi, USA)

Neosho County Community College (Chanute, Kansas, USA)

Roane State Community College (Harriman, Tennessee, USA)

• Seward County Community College (Liberal, Kansas, USA)

• Southern New Hampshire University (Manchester, New Hampshire, USA)

ACBSP accredits all business programs at all degree levels, from associate degrees in accounting and other business disciplines to doctorate degrees in management.
