On behalf of the staff that was in attendance at CLADEA in Barcelona this year, I want to say thank you for your participation at CLADEA 2014! A scheduling conflict prevented my attendance. I look forward to seeing most of you next year in Vina del Mar, Chile, September 6-8, 2015 at the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of CLADEA.
At the conference, Doug Viehland, Executive Director/CEO, and Andrea Vertz, Member Services Manager, gave a presentation about the challenges higher education institutions are currently facing and how ACBSP, the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs, is working to provide several means of success against these challenges.
Later in September, there was a meeting of the Latin America Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP Region 9). ACBSP is the only accrediting body for business schools that has a regional organization of members in Latin America. During this meeting there were several other presentations that may be of interest and value as you explore all that is offered with ACBSP. The agenda for the can be found here. Please let me know if you have more questions.
The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a leading specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating, and rewarding teaching excellence. The association embraces the virtues of teaching excellence and emphasizes to students that it is essential to learn how to learn. ACBSP truly values our international membership. Out of our 1,315 member campuses, 211 of these members are from outside the United States; a number that continuously grows due to our commitment to our Vision that “Every quality business program worldwide is accredited”. To find out more on how to become an ACBSP member and the benefits we offer, visit our website to discover more about ACBSP.
If you have any questions about ACBSP, including questions about how to become a member, please contact me at our offices in Latin America. I will be pleased to provide more information including a possible visit to your campus. Membership for the 2014-2015 membership year is now prorated at $675 for membership through June 30, 2015. This is an opportunity for your business school to join to sample all the benefits offered by membership, learn more about accreditation and the work of ACBSP Region 9, and make a decision next July regarding the value offered for renewal of 2015-2016 membership and to begin the accreditation process.
We look forward to hearing from you!
