ACBSP4Change – Journals for Joliet: Give back to our conference host city and make a difference in the lives of Joliet area students. Take part in the 2018 #ACBSP4Change campaign to benefit Joliet School District 86. As part of the district’s English/Language Arts and English Language Learners Curriculum, students in Joliet School District 86 are developing into young writers as they participate in interactive writing experiences, share writing with others, receive guided reading support and polish their craft of writing as they independently create written masterpieces. The school district’s approach to reading and writing allows teachers and students to become partners through the learning process as they both develop into life-long learners. At the Region 4 Conference, our members can support this important initiative by donating Journals for Joliet. Members can donate up to 20 spiral notebooks (wide ruled only) or blank bound journals. The journals will be collected during the conference and presented to the school district following the conference. (https://www.joliet86.org/departments/curriculum/language-arts/)
