|A Green ACBSP|
ACBSP is committed to doing its part to help the environment.
Because we’re committed to caring for the environment like you, ACBSP has implemented a variety of different changes in our everyday practices. Below, explore how we’re keeping the environment green.
CONFERENCES & MEETINGS: At all ACBSP conferences and meetings, ACBSP utilizes the Guidebook App, which eliminated paper evaluation forms. Tote bags distributed at conferences are made of recyclable materials. Name badge holders are also recycled and re-used. Conference related files are now sent electronically to exhibitors and attendees. Floral arrangements used at the Accreditation Banquet are sent to a local hospital in the conference host city for others to enjoy. Water bottles are no longer used. Instead we offer water stations throughout the facility. ACBSP partners with Marriott hotels for all conferences and meetings, a company with sustainability practices worked into the services they offer. OFFICE OPERATIONS: We've made green changes throughout our offices. One of the biggest changes is the placement of motion-censored lights, which automatically turn on and off. Our offices are also equipped with recycling bins, which are taken to a larger repository at a local elementary school, contributing to rebates the school receives from the trash disposal company. Heating and cooling is turned off during long weekends. All electronics are recycled properly. Membership records have been digitalized.
ACCREDITATION OPERATIONS: An exciting new feature that will streamline the accreditation reporting process and save reams of paper for our accredited member schools is our Campus Labs software. We are very excited to offer this service to our member schools, while keeping things environmentally safe.
OUR PARTNERS: ACBSP is proud to have partnerships with other companies that also have a vision for a sustainable environment, just like we do. Thanks to our partner, Rise Display, we now have a digital donor wall on display.
We will continue to embrace changes that help create a healthy, clean, and green environment. We hope you will as well.
