A Conference within A Conference
Accreditation is always a focus at the Annual Conference, but ACBSP offers a unique perspective this year. A special two-day Accreditation Conference will be offered at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center, just steps from the Marriott. Offered all day Friday and Saturday, this Accreditation Conference will include all accreditation concurrent sessions. Luncheons on both days will feature speakers focused on accreditation topics: "How to use your accreditation experience on your path to ACBSP leadership,” and "How does accreditation in the United States compare to accreditation abroad?” The Exhibit Hall at the Hilton will be filled with vendors offering products and services to assist with the accreditation process.

This is not a separate conference, but rather a conference within a conference. Due to space limitations, the maximum registration for the Accreditation Conference is 260 individuals. If accreditation is your focus then you will want to register for the Accreditation Conference.

There is no additional fee to attend the two-day Accreditation Conference. The Annual Conference registration fee covers all events offered at the Hilton. When you register for the Annual Conference simply mark the box to select the Accreditation Conference. On Sunday and Monday you join the Annual Conference activities at the Marriott including the Salute to Regions Luncheon and Accreditation Banquet.

Mentor and Evaluator Training
It has been four years since ACBSP offered in-person training at an annual conference for site team evaluators and mentors. This training is geared toward:

  • An experienced evaluator seeking to update his/her skills
  • Someone who has assisted in a campus self-study and is now interested in being a site team evaluator
  • A site team evaluator wanting to move into a mentor role
  • Someone just entering the accreditation process and seeking to learn what a site team looks for in a campus visit

This training will take place all day Friday and Saturday at the Hilton. Due to space limitations and to ensure the best training experience, this session is limited to 70 registrants. Participants will use sample ACBSP self-study documents as they become acquainted with the review process, scoring guidelines, and how to prepare comments for the feedback report. A separate fee of $100 to cover printed training materials and the cost of two lunches will be charged. Certificates of completion will be provided for individuals who pre-register and attend the entire training.
