Chicago — “The Windy City”
Chicago has many nicknames: “The Windy City,” “Chi-Town,” Chi-City.” It is the third largest city in the U.S., behind New York and Los Angeles. With its accessible transit system, well-thought-out recycling operations, and impressive energy-saving architectures, Chicago is aiming to also be known as the “first city” of sustainable innovation. The city has launched green art installations in some of the city’s key attractions, including McCormick Place and Navy Pier. Chicago is an international hub for finance, commerce, industry, technology, telecommunications, and transportation, and the perfect choice for the 2014 ACBSP Annual Conference. In 2012, Chicago hosted 46.37 million international and domestic visitors, a record for the city. This summer, they will host 700+ ACBSP Conference attendees.
Instead of trying to list and link to Chicago destinations and events -- there would be far too many for a single page! -- ACBSP encourages you to visit ChooseChicago.com to plan your evening and pre/post-conference journeys in the Windy City.
