Call for Presentations
Consider submitting a presentation in one of four tracks — one track focuses on the conference theme: Engaged Learning in the Digital Age. Two tracks focus on teaching excellence, with one of the two exploring how to make your connection for global business education experiences. The final track is focused on accreditation process.
The 2014 ACBSP Annual Conference has a theme focused on how to engage learners in the digital age. This theme will allow business leaders and educators to explore what they can do to help sustain an environment of excellence within the business community through the foundation of quality business education utilizing digital solutions.
As organizations increasingly face the challenge of maintaining and sustaining excellence in this fast-paced, increasing global, economically restricted, post-financial crisis business environment, they are looking to the educational institutions that are teaching business to help lead the way through research and the production of graduates with skill sets for success. To achieve these aims, business schools are turning increasingly to technology and digital solutions to help them to maintain cost effective quality. However, while digital solutions like e-textbooks, iPads, smart phones, online learning, content management systems and online assessments give educational institutions a way to meet the demands of the modern educational landscape, they also present challenges to students, faculty and other stakeholders when it comes to engaging with this new environment. This digital technology is also leading to evolving delivery methods including hybrid courses and massive open online courses (MOOCs).
