This page contains information about ACBSP member schools or corporate members that currently have international programs and have agreed to share that knowledge with member and non-member colleges. This activity should be something you consider a best practice in the conduct of this activity. A short program description, the college's website address (click on the logos to visit the college website), and the point of contact (POC) for more information are shown.

This page is reviewed annually in July and those suggested practices that are be considered no longer applicable be removed and the POC will be notified. Otherwise, this is a permanent posting.

If you have a suggested practice or know of one that should be listed on this page, please submit by contacting the ACBSP office, info@acbsp.org. Only ACBSP member schools or corporate members may be recognized for the suggested practices. Use in the Subject Line the words “Global Suggested Practice”.

University of Central Oklahoma

The University of Central Oklahoma College of Business Administration has a relationship with La Rochelle University in France. The business school, known as Groupe Sup de Co La Rochelle, has agreed to support exchanges as well as exploring other means to effect global business education for both schools. Central is working other relationships with international universities worldwide to enhance offerings to Central students. As these are developed, they will be posted at this site. Each year, Central’s College of Business has numerous international study tours. In 2011-2012, study tours are being planned to London, Paris, Scandinavia, Taiwan, and South America. Additionally, Central’s CBA has developed a policy with respect to study abroad opportunities in order to ensure the safe and effective conduct of study tours. Holyoke Community College has had a relationship with Poltava University for Consumer Cooperatives in the Ukraine since 1993. Initially this involved two of its faculty members working with the faculty and administration to develop new and revised existing curricula as well as lecturing as part of their individual Fulbright Scholar programs. More than 16 faculty and administrators from Poltava have come to Holyoke and 6 from Holyoke have worked at Poltava University since the program’s inception.

Tiffin University

TU is offering its MBA program overseas in Bucharest and Timisoara, Romania, Prague, Czech Republic, and Taipei, Taiwan. The BBA program is being offered in Prague and will be offered in Bucharest beginning Fall 2011. TU maintains a collaboration with Skarbek University in Warsaw, Poland where TU professors offer a series of five seminars per year.

CSM Logo

The College of Southern Maryland, through its relationship with the Mid-Atlantic Baltic Education and Commerce Consortium (M-BEC), has sponsored faculty trips to Estonia. M-BEC and CSM have partnered to coordinate trips to CSM for Baltic students, professors, performers, and elected officials.

Saint Vincent College maintains an ongoing relationship with Fu Jen University in Taipei, Taiwan, an institution originally founded by the Benedictines of Saint Vincent in Beijing, China in 1925, and refounded in Taipei in the early 1950's. Faculty and students visit Fu Jen each year for the summer session. Saint Vincent also sponsors an East Asia Summer Travel Program and a Mexico Summer Program.
