Regional Councils
For membership purposes, ACBSP is geographically divided into ten regions. Each region has a set of officers selected from the members in that region.
The officers begin their terms on July 1 each year.The President and President-elect of each region serve as members of the Council of Regional Presidents. A handbook provides information regarding the operation of the Council and each region. The handbook is available for download at http://www.acbsp.org/download.php?sid=1925.
Each ACBSP members are automatically a member of their respective region and may attend events in any other region. There are no dues for regional membership.
Some of the activities conducted by the regions in conjunction with ACBSP:
- Regional meetings are conducted throughout the year that provide networking and educational opportunities.
- All members are encouraged to apply for the Teaching Excellence Award each January. Regional recipients — representing both associate and baccalaureate/graduate degree-granting institutions — are announced in March and become eligible for the International Teaching Excellence Award.
- Nominations for ACBSP committees come from each region, providing access to leadership positions on the international stage.
- Many regions have committees providing involvement in important issues affecting business education in your area and around the world.
Regional meetings are conducted throughout the year that provide networking and educational opportunities.
