HICKORY — Lenoir-Rhyne University student Danny Campolieta has been awarded a scholarship from the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society for Business in the amount of $1,000. In June, he was also the recipient of a scholarship from the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), Region 3. He is the first student from LR to have received the Delta Mu Delta scholarship, and was the recipient of one of only two scholarships awarded by the ACBSP.
“ These honors recognize Danny’s stellar performance in the classroom and active service participation as an engaged student on the LR campus as well as in the Hickory community,” said A. Dale King, professor of business and past president of the ACBSP, Region 3.
Campolieta is majoring in business management and marketing through the Charles M. Snipes School of Business and Economics. He is currently participating in the LR’s Bridge to Dreams program which will allow him to matriculate into a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. He recently had the opportunity to learn more about international business firsthand. He traveled to Beijing, China as part of a Global Business Study Tour offered through the university. This was LR’s 11th Global Business Study Tour which provides students with the opportunity to experience and learn more about foreign cultures and business practices.
Campolieta is an active member of the LR campus, serving as a resident adviser and on the Student Government Association. His academic success has awarded him membership in the Delta Mu Delta Society as well as the Mortar Board National Honor Society.
