ACBSP 2014 International Conference to Explore How European Businesses Partner with Business Schools for Student Success
The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), www.acbsp.org, will hold its second International Conference November 27-30 at Webster University – Athens Campus Cultural Center in Athens, Greece.
OVERLAND PARK, KS, USA (October 30, 2014) Three prominent keynote speakers will share their views on the business higher education landscape in Europe:
Giorgos Stylios, Deputy Minister of Education for Greece, is keynote speaker at the Opening General Session on November 27. Deputy Minister Stylios will share his experiences as a faculty member, department chair, Member of Parliament, and Deputy Minister of Education.
David Bakradze, Ambassador of Georgia to the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Serbia, will deliver the keynote at a General Session on November 28. Ambassador Bakradze will share his views on education as a Member of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and a Member of the Diplomatic Community in Greece and Serbia.
Basilio Petkidis, Chief Financial Officer for Mamidakis Brothers Group, is keynote speaker for a second General Session on November 28. Petkidis will share his personal and professional experiences of ways in which business schools can connect with business for student success.
An Accreditation Panel on November 29 will feature three speakers — from Mongolia, the United States, and United Arab Emirates — who have been through the accreditation process, sharing their experience and explaining the value ACBSP accreditation has brought to their business school.
“We are seeing a new level of collaboration as ACBSP member colleges and universities work with business leaders in their area to prepare students for the workplace,” said Douglas Viehland, ACBSP Executive Director/CEO. “This conference brings educators from all over the world together to share best practices and forge new partnerships,” he said.
Registration is now open for the 2014 ACBSP International Conference, Nov. 27-30 at the Webster University – Athens Campus Cultural Center. Concurrent sessions will be offered in four educational tracks: Partnering with Business for Student Success, Academic Improvement, Accreditation, and Focus on ACBSP.
