Lincoln Memorial University Director of Career Services Ted Booth typically compiles a report with employment rates for graduates six months after graduation. Booth started crunching the numbers in October and found that LMU's School of Business has a program with a 100 percent placement rate at the five month mark.
"At LMU we begin to prepare the students for employment from the first day they step on campus," Booth said. "To see such a great success rate of our business students in their chosen profession speaks highly of our students and our faculty. At LMU, you are more than just a number. We want to see you succeed."
Twenty-one students graduated from the School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Of those graduates, 19 have jobs in the field and two have enrolled in graduate school.
"Given the tough economic climate and the high number of business graduates across the country, this statistic is very telling of the quality of the program at LMU," said Dean Jack McCann. "Not only do our students leave with a solid business education, but they gain practical experience through internships and activities while they are on campus and that really helps in a tough job market."
The LMU School of Business is accredited by The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). LMU offers undergraduate business majors and programs in accounting, energy management, general business, management, marketing and professional golf management; a Master's of Business Administration program; a working adult learning program that results in a Bachelor of Science in Management and Leadership Studies and a Business of Medicine Certificate Program. ACBSP accreditation certifies that the teaching and learning processes within the LMU School of Business meet the rigorous educational standards established by ACBSP, a leading specialized accreditation association for business education supporting, celebrating and rewarding teaching excellence.
