The Institut Europeen de Management International (IEMI), and Centre Europeen de Management Hotelier International (CMH) honored two outstanding graduates with the ACBSP Student Leadership Award during the recent 2014 graduation ceremony.

OVERLAND PARK, KS, USA (May 22, 2014) Joanna Joussemet (pictured left), and Paul Jayasinghe (pictured center), were the 2014 recipients of the ACBSP Student Leadership Award during the graduation ceremony for IEMI and CMH Paris, held on April 25 in Paris, France. ACBSP Executive Director Douglas Viehland (pictured far left) presented the awards.

Both students were honored by IEMI/CMH for their outstanding educational and professional contributions. Joussemet received her MBA in International Hospitality & Luxury Brands Management, and Jayasinghe received his BSc/Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management. IEMI/CMH administrators, who established the award criteria, considered good academic results, various professional activities and their relevance, as well as personal qualities of the student when selecting this year’s recipients.

Just as the ACBSP accreditation standards are global, so is this Student Leadership Award,” said Viehland. “With this presentation, Joanna and Paul become part of a global community of student leaders recognized for their achievements,” he said.

ACBSP established the Student Leadership Award in 2008 as a way for accredited member schools to recognize student excellence. Each individual ACBSP member school determines its own award criteria. ACBSP is the only accrediting body for business schools that offers such an award.

ACBSP’s mission is to promote continuous improvement and recognize excellence in the accreditation of business education programs around the world. ACBSP,, is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as a specialized accreditation agency for business education. ACBSP currently has 1,233 member campuses, 195 of which are located outside of the U.S. Of those campuses, 923 have achieved accreditation and more than 210 are in candidacy for accreditation. Individual members on these campuses now exceed 11,000. FAQs / Accreditation FAQs
