ACBSP Releases the Second Volume of its Peer-Reviewed Journal
OVERLAND PARK, KS, USA (December 12, 2011) The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), www.acbsp.org, announces the release of the second volume of its peer-reviewed journal: Volume Two, ACBSP Annual Edition:Managing Business Education in the New Fiscal Reality,published in November 2011.The nine articles featured in Volume 2 went through a rigorous, double-blind peer review process prior to final acceptance for publication. The ACBSP Annual Edition is also listed with Cabell Publishing, ISSN 00-2151-6022.
The articles cover topics making headlines, such as "State Supported Institutions: A Case Study in Fiscal Stewardship and Survival Planning,” by: M. Suzanne Clinton & John P. Camey; and"Doing More with More—Increasing Distance Education Enrollments and Enhancing Instructional Quality,”by Timothy M. Cunha & Sue K. Stockly.
ACBSP is the only accrediting body for business schools that supports scholarly research by publication of a peer-reviewed journal. The fundamental objective of the ACBSP Annual Edition is to provide a venue for ACBSP members and others to present their research and findings, engage in scholarly research and inquiry, and support and improve classroom teaching.
Editors are: Annette E. Craven, Ph.D., Immediate Past President, ACBSP and Professor of Management, University of the Incarnate Word; and Laura S. Mays, Ed.D., Chair of Romanian Academic Programs and Professor of Management, Tiffin University.
Dr. Craven also served as editor of Volume One, ACBSP Annual Edition: Recognizing Excellence in Business Education,published in June 2010. It featured 13 articles representing research from India, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. ACBSP’s mission is to promote continuous improvement and recognize excellence in the accreditation of business education programs around the world. ACBSP is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as a specialized accreditation agency for business education. ACBSP currently has 1,051 member campuses, 157 of which are located outside of the U.S. Of those campuses, 541 have achieved accreditation and more than 415 are in candidacy for accreditation. Individual members on these campuses now exceed 9,500.
