Conference Hotel and Beach

The JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa is the headquarters hotel for the 2016 ACBSP International Conference and Accreditation Forum. Our group rate is USD $179/night for single/double, plus applicable state and local taxes. The group rate is available for stays from October 29 through November 8. The conference is about 18km (11mi) from Cancun International Airport.

ACBSP has arranged for private, shared ground transportation from the airport to the hotel for our attendees. The cost is USD $11 per passenger, one-way, plus taxes and fees. Attendees must book shuttle rides by October 24 to take advantage of this offer. Click here to book a shuttle ride.

Additional ground transportation is available at the airport, with taxis, shuttles, and car rental services.


With few exceptions, every person entering Mexico from another country must have a valid passport and/or identification card. A visa is required for nationals from some countries. More information on visa requirements is available here, including a list of countries whose nationals do not require a visa.

Each attendee is responsible for securing accurate information regarding requirements to enter Mexico. Conference participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the visa requirements for their country well in advance of the conference. Additional fees to enter the country may apply. Contact the Mexican embassy or consulates in your country to find out policies and procedures.

If you need a personal invitation letter to attend the Conference, ACBSP will send you one upon request. However, it will only be sent once you've registered and paid.

Follow these steps for a visa letter:

  1. Download the Invitation Letter template and complete the information noted by yellow highlight.

  3. A PDF document will be developed on ACBSP letter head with the electronic signature of the President/CEO. This will be sent via email. Unless specifically requested, a hard copy on letterhead with original signature will not be sent. Postage and shipping fees for a hard copy may apply.

If a letter is required for an accompanying guest this can be issued as a separate letter or it can be included in the letter for the conference attendee. Please send an email with the following information or include in the invitation letter returned to ACBSP offices:

  • Guests’s full name as it appears on the passport
  • Date of birth
  • Passport number, expiration date, country where issued (you may send a readable copy of the passport page if more convenient)
  • E-mail address (optional)
  • Relationship to the attendee
