Transnational Journal of Business
Call for Papers
Transforming Student Success through Recruitment, Retention, and Reentry

cover of the Transnational Journal of Business

The Transnational Journal of Business (TJB) is an interdisciplinary business journal. It is the Scholar-Practitioner publication of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The Transnational Journal of Business is an annual publication. During some publication years, if warranted, there may be a special section included in the TJB.

The Journal Mission
The mission of The Transnational Journal of Business is to provide a venue for ACBSP members and others to present their research and findings, engage in scholarly research and inquiry, and support and improve classroom teaching.

Scholarly Contributions
The TJB welcomes authors to submit their original research papers, case studies, book reviews, or other scholarly works for publication consideration and review. Due to its mission to provide a forum for a dialogue to advance teaching excellence through research, the TJB maintains an open call for manuscripts and welcomes manuscripts from all ACBSP individual members. Manuscripts submitted for review should not be under consideration for publication with any other scholarly journal.

Theme for Upcoming Issue
A special priority for the next issue of the TJB is the theme for ACBSP Conference 2018, Transforming Student Success through Recruitment, Retention, and Reentry. ACBSP Conference 2018 will be June 8-11, 2018, in Kansas City, Missouri. Authors submitting to the TJB are invited to submit a response to the Call for Presentations so their papers may be considered for presentation at ACBSP Conference 2018. A separate Call for Presentations has been released for the Conference.

DEADLINE FOR ARTICLE SUBMISSIONS IS JANUARY 31, 2018

Manuscript Submission Requirements
The theme provides a dialogue forum that advances teaching excellence through research and discussion, with particular emphasis on the practical applications of ideas that contribute to the theme.

The TJB requires all manuscripts for review and publication to be submitted electronically -- via our online submission system -- and to be written in English. Non-native speakers are encouraged to seek assistance from a colleague who is proficient in English to proofread the paper. Manuscripts shall be submitted in the following format:

  • Single-spaced on 8.5" x 11" page
  • Times New Roman font
    • Main text - 12 point font
    • Major headings - 14 point font
  • Manuscripts should be approximately 5,000 – 7,000 words, including all graphs, figures, and references
  • Authors must follow APA Formatting and Style Guide Manual, 6th Edition

Manuscripts for Review must be submitted through Scholastica. Click here to access the system. Manuscripts submitted via any other method will not be accepted or considered.
Questions or comments, including assistance with Scholastica, may be directed to the Managing Editor, Dr. Justin Matus, (justin.matus@wilkes.edu); Telephone: 570-762-3640.
