For the first time in the history of the International Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP Region 8), we offer a seminar focused exclusively on accreditation. It is also the first time since Dubai in 2011, that an event for Region 8 is being held outside of Europe. Members of Region 8 and anyone outside of Region 8 are invited to attend.

Accreditation Case Study Seminar
March 13-14

This two-day event is being co-organized by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), the International Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP Region 8), Mongolia National Council on Education Accreditation (MNCEA) and the Institute of Finance and Economics (IFE). IFE was the first school in Mongolia to achieve ACBSP accreditation. IFE is a leader for ACBSP and the value of international accreditation in Mongolia and Central and East Asia. IFE is will be providing a sharing of their experiences in going through the accreditation process and the work underway since achieving accreditation. This will include a sharing of the findings, challenges, weakness and success of accreditation process that IFE experienced.

On the first day there will be a morning meeting focused on Region 8 and accreditation in general. Douglas Viehland, Executive Director, will provide an update on activities within ACBSP. Several officers of Region 8 will be present to make reports. All will be available to receive your questions and comments on Region 8 activities.

In the afternoon will be information on accreditation related topics and international visitors can participate in a city tour.

On the concluding day attendees will divide into accreditation team members, each with a different role, letting them work with IFE team, and responding to questions and answers and explaining more details of accreditation process based on an IFE case.

Tourist Day
March 15

Mongolia is great destination for persons who have never experienced this enchanted country or for those who would like to return and experience being a tourist while networking with a number of friends from the ACBSP community.  A tour to the Genghis Khan Statute with lunch will be offered.

A four-page document provides detailed information on schedule of events, registration fees, hotel accommodations, and a registration form. Those who require a visa and a letter of invitation should contact Ms. Erdenesuvd of the IFE international relationships office with their request by February 25. Additional information will be posted to the ACBSP Region 8 Web page as it becomes available.
