Luna Community College Top Business Students Invited to Join Honor Society
School of Business at Luna Community announces the formation of a local chapter of the Kappa Beta Delta International Honor Society. The Alpha Beta Delta Chapter, formally installed November 20, 2014, will be inducting its first charter members May 1, 2015. Kappa Beta Delta is for students who are enrolled in institutions accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Kappa Beta Delta was established to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishment in the pursuit and completion of studies in business, management and administration which culminates in the conferral of the associate degree.
Kappa Beta Delta provides an opportunity for the faculty to confer on students at Luna Community, recognition for their outstanding academic achievements in the business school/program. Students invited to membership must meet or exceed the following criteria:
- The student must declare a major in business
- The student must rank in the upper 20% of their class
- The student must have completed a minimum of 50 credit hours, of which a minimum of 20 credits are in business
- The student must have a cumulative grade of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
The School of Business at Luna Community College congratulates the (5) students who have earned invitations to membership in 2015.
