ACBSP Leadership Institute - Setting the Table for Success

A new addition to the 2012 calendar is the ACBSP Leadership Institute. The workshop, themed “Setting the Table for Success,” is geared towards new and aspiring deans and program chairs. Some topic areas include establishing or enhancing business community support, building a shared vision for the program and university, succession planning, and establishing one’s “own style” of leadership.

The day and a half workshop takes place on June 14-15, 2012, immediately prior to the 2012 Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Registration is separate from the Annual Conference registration. Visit the Leadership Institute page to download a brochure, see an agenda, and view fees. Registration is open now.

2012 Conference Promotional Booklet 2012 ACBSP Annual Conference

Information is now available for you to make plans to attend the 2012 ACBSP Annual Conference, scheduled for June 15-18 in Baltimore, Maryland. The conference theme is "Sustaining Excellence Through Quality Business Education.” An Exhibitor Prospectus was released in September. A Conference Promotional Booklet was released in March. When you make your budget and travel plans, consider the opportunity to attend the Pre-Conference Workshops or the new ACBSP Leadership Institute for deans and department chairs.

Professional Opportunity Advertising

The following professional opportunities are included in the most recent issue of ACBSP Update or Business Education Week and available for download. Certain positions marked with an asterisk (*) note they are participating in a special program, "See You At the Conference Career Connection." When you open their ad the content will note someone from that school will be at the ACBSP 2012 Annual Conference to meet and interview candidates for the advertised position. More details regarding how this NEW program at the Annual Conference is available by downloading the March 16 issue of Charm City Chat. This includes how indivduals seeking positions may advertise their availability for interviews at the conference.
